Spoke to Georgie on the Today Show, then Warren Moore from 2GB, about Telstra’s latest announcement that they are now going to roll out a 4G network by the end of the year.
What does it mean? Well, at the end of the day it means you will have faster wireless broadband connectivity to your smartphone, which should mean faster download and upload times – especially good if you are a businessman/woman who is on the move and communication is important to your livelihood.
The downside is that your will need a new handset or modem to sync to the new network. While mobile phone vendors might be rubbing their hands in glee, cynics might be a little more reserved at having to shell out – yet again – for another handset to meet up with the 4G network.
