Qantas – in partnership with NIB – will be getting into health insurance in the first half of next year. So why are we talking about health insurance on a technology radio show? Well, the scheme – called Qantas Assure – will reward its members for meeting their step goals.
The actual technical details and rates won’t be unveiled until next year, but we assume it’s going to be something like “earn 10 frequent flyer points if you take 10,000 steps in a day”, and we could potentially see bonuses for doing it consecutively or for meeting your fitness goals for an entire month. I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if we saw more offers like this in the future!
