Life & Technology – 2GB 18th January, 2015

Well I've almost beat the post-CES jetlag, hopefully a few more days in Australia will get me back to normal!

This week on Life & Technology we looked at a few more great gadgets from CES including Netgear's Arlo home security cameras, Asus' ultrathin Transformer Book Chi, D-Link's monster of a triband router and a 360 degrees action cam.

We also had a chat about back-to-school devices; Microsoft commissioned some research into BYOD and the results were are pretty interesting; apparently just 13% of schools specify what device a parent should buy for their kids, and 1 in 5 high school students are stuck with a device that doesn't do what it needs. To help with this, Microsoft has put together a website called devicesforschool.com.au, with a few suggestions on what device to buy.

We also had a new episode on CyberShack TV on this morning where we had a look at some great new TV technology, back to school devices and much, much more! If you missed it, you'll be able to watch the entire episode on CyberShack.com.au from tomorrow (Monday) morning!
